tiny tot tuesdays

every tuesday the dallas arboretum has "tiny tot tuesdays" with lots of activities for the little ones. we went with our friends tasha and little isabel. the weather was perfect for our picnic lunch and we had a great time! kamdyn loved walking freely in the big fields of grass and she especially loved the petting zoo!

yesterday

it isn't very often that kamdyn will sit still or stay in one place for very long. but i can turn on a praise baby video and she will sit and watch it for at least 10 minutes straight, then she's normally up playing. this is how intent she is on it at first though! it's great when i'm trying to cook dinner!

zack had kamdyn last night and he said she was in her room playing and he heard her crying. he went to see what she was doing and she was all the way inside her laundry basket and couldn't get out! he said it was hilarious. by the time he got the camera she was still trying to get back in but he said it was never as funny as the first time, even though she kept going back and getting stuck. she cracks us up!

rob & beth & the belly

we are so excited about our dear friends, rob & beth, getting married this summer! their wedding is 2 weeks before my due date and zack is a groomsman, so we really need everything to go according to plan with my due date! i'm sure zack will have to roll me in by then, seeing that i am already huge.

we went to a very nice couples shower for them this weekend and had such a great time! besides everyone celebrating rob & beth, my personal favorite parts of the night were trying to count the comments on my huge belly. here are the top faves:

1. are you having twins?
2. are you sure you're not having twins?
3. oooooh - you must only have a few weeks left!
4. you're close, right? tell me you're really close!

i could go on and on, but you get the picture. i really don't mind, it's just funny to me that people are so open about my huge-ness. at least you can tell i'm pregnant, right?!

baby ben

baby ben was born just a couple of weeks ago. shannon & chris were nice enough to send us these pictures they took when kamdyn and i went to visit in the hospital. i bent down to show kamdyn and she said, "baby!" he is SO little and cute - it made me really excited for kyler to get here!

visiting & gettin' dirty

my mom and grandmother came to visit yesterday and spent the night. kamdyn has been having lots of fun with all the attention! we had the added treat of dana and analise (my uncle and cousin) coming over for a few hours too!




now that kamdyn is walking EVERYWHERE she really loves being outside and walking by herself, exploring, etc. it is a challenge to get her back inside! she loves being with the dogs, even when their tails are whacking her in the face! yesterday she kept creeping closer and closer to their food & water bowls. i kept telling her not to touch because they are icky! but she went for the water when i wasn't looking and then it was all over. it ended up being really funny & cute but she got pretty dirty and wet! she was going back and forth from their water bowl to their little pool. she almost fell in once, which was hilarious.

workin w/ daddy

zack has been so kind to let me go out of town the past two weekends and take care of kamdyn. on friday he even worked from home so i could leave early - kamdyn loves helping daddy work and trying to type on his computer! and i adore this last picture!

my little sweetie face

this is sort of a typical day of playing in our house, for kamdyn. and can you tell that i just LOVE these little baby legs? i think they are the cutest and best invention ever! i actually bought 2 more pairs last week b/c now i know that kyler will be able to use them too!

i discovered that kamdyn LOVES to sit in big chairs! she gets the biggest smile on her face - i think it makes her feel like a big girl. plus, i spun her around in this chair, so she loved that!

"ball!"

she absolutely loves this chair that chris & lara gave her for her bday. she rarely sits in it, but loves to climb on it! the other day when it was up against the windows, she was standing on the back of it leaning against the window...she is getting more and more brave (a.k.a. "crazy") each day!

how can you not love this? it is so cute when she does this at restaurants on the table too. it's like a sigh and a short bit of getting comfy. i love it!!!

award-winning

i got to have a weekend away with the girls this past weekend, so kamdyn got to spend the whole weekend with daddy! my favorite conversation was when i called on saturday night and zack had taken her over to some friends to watch the masters and let all the kids (they all happened to be girls!) play. there were probably 5 daddys and their girls, total. anyway - i'm always curious what zack dressed her in and what her hair looked like! before i could even ask, he said, "you would not believe the award-winning piggie tails i put in her hair!" he said that when he walked in the door, all the daddys noticed and asked if he fixed her hair! i love it. i also love that i asked him if the other girls had their hair fixed and he had no clue. :) so my next natural question...."did you take a picture?" of course! daddys are the best!!!

kamdyn's sister

well i sure have not posted much about kamdyn's sister who will be here before we know it! i am now 24 weeks along. we have decided on a name for our little girl and are very excited about it.

her name will be KYLER JANE.

i've also had a lot of people asking about my belly, which by the way, is huge already. yesterday at target the lady who checked me out asked if i was in my last month. so that was nice. please excuse kamdyn's hair in these pictures (and mine for that matter). it was right before bed time so you never know what you're going to get!

anyway, i've been feeling great and can feel the baby moving around a lot! she is growing and developing on schedule so far and we are thankful! we can't wait to meet little kyler!

little walker

kamdyn has been walking since easter weekend but this weekend she decided that she prefers walking to crawling. she is walking everywhere! it's really cute. she falls a lot but gets right back up! she's getting fast quickly, so we'll see when the running starts!
