easter

we had a great easter weekend! on saturday we spent the afternoon with zack's family in dallas. kamdyn decided she would walk everywhere! it was so much fun - she walked more that day than we have ever seen! it was the best!

i guess we had so much nice weather leading up to easter that it just had to be cold on easter sunday. after church my family came over and we had the easter egg hunt inside. i don't think the kids minded or knew any difference once they spotted all the eggs! we had a great time!

the weather has been so beautiful this past week! we went down to the dallas arboretum on friday...did not think about it being good friday and spring break and how many people would be off work. it was packed! but it is so beautiful and it was great to be outside all day. these are a few of the shots i got of kamdyn. i might add some black and whites later. but the colors in the flowers are so pretty!

easter egg hunt

kamdyn got to participate in her very first easter egg hunt today! it was such a beautiful day. some sweet friends put this together (i think they have done it for a few years). it was up at a park in little elm. first all the kids sat and listened to a book about the easter story and then it was off to hunt! kamdyn was mostly interested in eating the eggs, never aware there were treats inside. then we had a picnic lunch and all the kids played. it was a great day!

since whitney is on spring break this week, she and dane came over to play today! he is 4 months older than kamdyn - they were so cute together! kamdyn even took a couple of steps on her own!!! she was trying to chase him and it was so great - i couldn't believe it! he is such a cutie anyway and so funny, as you can see below!

kamdyn's bday party

well, it finally came. our little girl turned ONE. we still cannot believe it. we got to have her birthday party on her actual birthday, so that was fun! she wasn't as into the cake as i had imagined but i guess it could have been stage fright with everyone staring at her! we had a polka dot party, if you can't tell. the last picture was at the end of a long day - just thought you would like to see how chunky those thighs really are!!!

preston has arrived! my sister had her baby tonight at 6:05 p.m. he is 6 pounds 12 oz. and 19.5 inches long! she claims he's perfect. ;) we can't wait to meet kamdyn's newest cousin!!!

so we ended up having more snow last week...it was a lot! it was fun to take kamdyn outside and let her crawl around in it. she was so cute. this other picture is another example of how she is into everything! i swear i turned around for 2 seconds w/ the fridge open and this is what i found....

SISTER!!!!

we are so excited to have another girl!  everything on the sonogram from today looks great!  the baby is measuring right on!  we can't believe we are already  half way there...it is definitely flying by and july will be here before we know it!  now we just need to come up with a name for this little girl!

an early birthday surprise!

kamdyn received a special delivery the other day for her bday! charlie & kathleen sent this cute little tricycle...her feet don't quite reach the pedals yet but she likes being pushed around on it!

i also had to post this picture of her checking my email. if i forget to put the mouse and keyboard where she can't reach, she finds her way to the computer and moves the mouse around and starts typing. it's pretty cute. this is not the best picture to show what it usually looks like but it's close enough. this is probably right before she drops the mouse on the floor.

almost one....

we cannot believe that kamdyn will be ONE on saturday! this year has really flown by. she is growing up so fast these days. she is getting really close to walking and it is so cute! when we let go of her hands she will stand there for a little while and be so excited! then when she sits down she claps. it is precious. as you can see below, she is also into eVeRyThInG!!!! she loooooves to unload things...the tupperware cabinet, toy bins, laundry, suitcases, just to name a few. she doesn't just take things out...she throws them out behind her and trust me - you do not want to be in her line of fire! it is really funny but guess who gets to clean it up. :) she also likes to go to her chair and look for leftover food. i try to clean it up pretty good after each meal/snack but sometimes she finds some hidden treasure and is so proud. she loves her walk behind toys and can go pretty fast with them! this girl is also getting funnier and funnier. she will pick up the telephone, press talk, put it to her shoulder and say, "hiiiiiiyeee." it is hilarious. i really need to try to capture it on video. her other favorite words are "hey", "dog", "see" and "dada".

on thursday kamdyn will find out if she is going to have a little sister or a little brother! be sure to check back for the update!

when i left for class last night at 5:30 it was cold outside but that was it. when i left class at 9:45 my car was covered in snow! it was crazy - especially since zack was wearing shorts this weekend and doing yard work. anyway, it was really pretty. i wish kamdyn could have been awake to see it. these pictures were taken when i got home last night around 10 or so. it's so pretty....and rare!
