kamdyn's fall party

kamdyn's class had a little mini fall party yesterday. it was really fun to see the other kids in her class and meet some of the parents. most of the kids in her class are turning 2 or already are 2. so she and isabel are the youngest. it is cute to see them in that environment. they made a fun little pumpkin craft and got to eat pumpkin cookies....kamdyn was by far the most messy eater...shocker. one of the moms said, "wow - she's really enjoying that cookie!" probably because it was all over her face and shirt. also - do you see how the other kids are drinking their waters with a straw? kamdyn decided to pour hers all down her shirt instead. so that as fun!

so i had my wisdom teeth out last week and it has taken a lot more out of me than i expected! this is my excuse for being a slacker blog updater! it is crazy. i still can't open my mouth all the way and the bruise on my cheek is now green, so i guess that means it's healing. it has not been fun!

so here is a random update. some close ups at first. and then i thought kamdyn looked so old today. i put her hair in a ponytail for the first time. it's super cute but she looks so grown up to me! and then kyler is just hangin out in her bouncer!

fall festival

believe it or not, this was the best we could get of both of them before we left for the fall festival!

kamdyn getting a tattoo of a purple elephant...you would think she was getting a shot. she would not do anything or any of the games! we waited in line and then it would be her turn and she would run away! it was crazy. so we made her get a tattoo. :)

it was a fun night even though kamdyn didn't want to do anything. she mostly wanted to walk with her pumpkin or have daddy carry her. but it was still fun to get dressed up and see all the other cute kids in their costumes!

pumpkin time!

we ventured out to the dallas arboretum for "mommy & me mondays" this week.  i have to admit that it was a little tougher than i expected having both girls since i let kamdyn out of her stroller to run around with the pumpkins.  she loved it but i was trying to figure out how kyler and i could keep up with her!  also - i tried to put kamdyn in the cute pumpkin shirt that cari made (like the one kyler is wearing) but it did not fit.  so i opted for this target shirt that apparently every other mom on the planet opted for as well.  they were everywhere!  but kamdyn was the only one with the cute tights!  :)  it also ended up being a lot hotter than we were hoping for.  i remember it being hot last year when we went to the pumpkin patch too.  that's texas for ya!  we did have a fun time with good friends!

sweetie face kyler

man i have some pretty girls. :) seriously though - i couldn't pick which pictures to post on here so i'm just putting all of them! i hope you enjoy them as much as i do! poor little kyler has been getting the shaft on pics lately. she is just the happiest, sweetest little baby. i had to capture some of that cuteness today while kamdyn is at school. we have some pictures of kamdyn when she was this same age and there is one that they look similar in but i def think kyler has her own look. isn't she the best?

bath time - but not for you!

sometimes you can't help but laugh. too bad she picks up on it! so the other night we had already given kamdyn a bath - she was in her pajamas, brushed teeth, ready for bed. we asked her if she wanted to come help us give kyler a bath. by "help" we meant "watch." so she's standing outside the tub, just watching, talking, etc. i knew she was leaning over it but i did not think much of it...the next thing i know, she has actually fallen in the tub! it did not phase her one bit - she looked up at us and i guess we had shock on our faces. so then she just sat there in the tub with her pj's on like it was no big deal. the water is running so there is water in the tub. i guess we were laughing so hard for so long we did not make her get out or tell her no.

SOOOOOO.....last night. kamdyn is with zack feeding the dogs and i go start the bath water to give kyler a bath. i have always been VERY careful with the bath tub and always make sure i am in there if the water is on, etc. anyway - i guess zack was finishing up with the dogs and kamdyn must have heard the bath. i'm getting kyler undressed and the next thing i know i hear zack yelling, "OH NO!" and laughing. there she was again - in her clothes in the tub. i guess she just climbed in there and couldn't wait any longer. we tried so hard not to laugh but there is just something funny about that! we are going to have to discipline her and tell her it's not okay from now on. but we thought a couple more pictures would be fine first. :)

what a difference a friend can make!

that title is more for me than kamdyn! the afternoons of school days always seem long since kamdyn does not nap when she gets home. she gets a nap at school. anyway - lexi ann came over to play after school on tuesday and the afternoon seemed a lot easier for me and a lot more fun for kamdyn! from the second she walked in the door they played together and had a blast...i love the sound of children laughing when nobody is looking. it is priceless. one time i spied on them when they were laughing...they were inside the tent trying to tickle each other! too funny.

they always end up on this thing together when lexi ann is over. i need to go back and find an old picture of them when they were younger on this...it's cute!
