who is this girl?!

look at kamdyn!  can you believe she let me flat iron her hair yesterday?  she did great!  she looks so cute but so different!  it was weird to look at her all day.  i thought she looked older!  anyway - it was a fun change.  we met isabel & tasha at babies-r-us and it was so great - they stayed in this cart and i had kyler and all our loot in the other cart.  it was so much easier b/c kamdyn & isabel entertained each other the whole time.  it doesn't take much sometimes.  :)

kamdyn & preston

this is the first of several posts i'm behind on!  

lindsey & jason came in town to meet baby olivia and it was perfect timing for a joint bday celebration for preston & kamdyn!  preston just turned ONE - can you believe?  he is SO stinkin cute.  i took some pictures of him for his one year shots and will post them sometime in the near future.  and by "near" i mean within the next month!  isn't that horrible?!  we had fun but we missed cari & ken & the kids...they were at disney world so we did not wait on them!

anyway - my mom baked all sorts of cakes & cupcakes and the kids loved it.  and the adults.  red velvet cupcakes and chocolate sheet cake.  need i say more?  okay - here are the pics:

nathan and kamdyn really are so cute together.  i love the ages they are right now and that the play together.  nathan is just a little over a year older than kamdyn.  he taught her all about barbies on this trip.  :)

is this not hilarious?  can you see what's happening here?  i am thinking she must have had icing all over her and zack and my mom were both trying to get her before she got everywhere.  this is so typical!

the 2 year old

so i FINALLY got around to editing these pictures i took of kamdyn for her 2 year birthday!  poor girl doesn't even know that her birthday party got canceled this weekend!  we were supposed to have it out at a park and of course, the weather was horrible.  so we were just going to have people over to the house and then i got strep throat!  so no party for poor kamdyn.  i guess this is the last year we can do something like that without her knowing.  :)  oh well - she is still 2 and just as cute as ever!  

she cracks us up every single day.  she also cracks kyler up on a regular basis, which is very cute.  she is talking more and more and starting to put several words together.  her favorite things to say right now are "watch" and "look."  she also LOVES LOVES LOVES to jump!  i'm talking jump everywhere and off of everything.  her latest thing is jumping OFF the couch.  that's right.  it's not a short fall.  and she has a good landing!  she also jumps off the window sill, her rocking horse, any steps she can find, and anything else you can think of.  this girl is fearless!  she is healthy, happy and a joy to be around.  we are SO thankful for our two-year-old, kamdyn!

kamdyn is TWO!

happy birthday to kamdyn!  we have been trying to teach her that she is TWO now!  it's cute for her to say but she can't hold the fingers up yet.  her party is next weekend so i have had that in my mind and then today kinda snuck up on us!  we went to church this morning and then came home for lunch and decided we needed to go get a birthday cupcake (from the cupcakery - YUM!) and let her pick out a gift from learning express.  we got her a box of musical instruments.  she loves them!  

we really can't believe she is two!  but it is already becoming such a fun time - i know it will have its challenges.  but it is so great because she can communicate with us so much more now.  i know we still have a long way to go, but it is so great that she is learning so many words and sentences.  she is such a joy to us and we are so grateful that the Lord chose kamdyn to be our daughter!

the bahamas

we had such a great trip to the bahamas!  it was not a long enough vacation, but we missed the girls SO MUCH MORE than we thought we would!  the atlantis is such a great place for kids and families too, so every time we saw families and small children we just missed them!  we also kept thinking of how much kamdyn would love certain things and how funny she would be.  we are so lame!  but we really had such a nice time and enjoyed every second!  it helped, so much, knowing that the girls were in good hands with my sister - cari.  THANK YOU!!!  she did it by herself with her two and our two - quite impressive!  here are just a couple of shots from the trip.

this was our casual night - and it was COLD that night!  i could not bring myself to wear jeans on my beach vacay so i just sucked it up with the skirt and sported the long sleeves.  worth it.
