do my ears deceive me?

it has finally happened! music to my ears! yesterday kamdyn came up to me, hugged my legs and said, "mama!" i could not believe it! and i was alone, so no witnesses. i thought for sure it was a mistake. nope! she has been saying it ever since!!! and i LOVE it! sometimes it's "mamamamamamamama." but she has said it a few times definitely referencing me!

this child will be 15 months on sunday and she's just now saying "mama!" she has so many other words, i really thought she would never say it. normally when we would say, "kamdyn, say mama." she would reply with a very giddy, "daaad-y!" it was funny but c'mon. it's about freakin time!

fyi - some of the other words she uses frequently include:
daddy
cheese
doggy
kitty
moo, bah, neh (cow, sheep & horse sounds)
horsey
keys
tree
hot (one of her new faves)
bubbles
bath
hat
baby
hi (sometimes "hiiiiyee")
bye (almost always waving)

that is all i can think of for now. i feel like there are others, but these are the ones we hear the most. it's pretty stinkin cute!

cheesin' it up. btw - i bought this rocking chair from a lady in a parking lot for $10. i'm going to paint it white. kamdyn loves it...it's just her size!

she finally discovered that this door on her dresser opens. it's a whole new world for her, a whole new pain for me! but it distracts her so there ya go. luckily, she has not figured out how to open ziplock baggies yet. she has tried, but to no avail. so for now, it's just unloading the cabinet. it will be a whole new mess when she can open those ziplocks!

she often takes her bows out, but now she says, "bow!" and acts like she's handing it to me. sometimes she tries to put it back in her hair by setting it on top of her head.
