this post is WAY overdue! we are SO excited about our new swing set in the backyard! we bought it over memorial day weekend and zack put the entire thing together himself. he worked SO hard for days and did such a great job! every second he was at home this is what he was doing. sometimes after the sun went down! it was a fun project and it was a HUGE project. i decided to document it for your viewing pleasure. :)
there were so many pieces in different boxes. he took about 3 hours to go through and label everything before he started. he claims it was WELL worth it.
this is the first of the structure that we saw.

look at that! and then he started working on the swings...kamdyn could hardly stand the wait.

i can't even begin to describe how excited kamdyn is about this swing set. she would be on it ALL DAY LONG every day if we would let her. too bad it is SO stinkin' hot outside! we can go out after breakfast for a few minutes and that's about it! she loves it. any time someone comes over she points out the window and says, "daddy make that." or "daddy make that for you and kyler." it's VERY cute! she is so proud! we have gotten a lot of use out of it so far and it has been fun to have our friends play on it too.

This looks great. Did you get it at Toys R us? It is similar to the brand we put up last year (http://therochefamily.blogspot.com/2008/04/playset-no-childs-play.html). I'm wondering if Zack had as many left over parts as I had?!
LOL - that is hilarious. yes - we got it at toys-r-us and yours looks almost exactly like ours. and YES, zack had pieces left over! we were like what the heck? and i think he was missing a couple too. so who knows what that means or when it will come tumbling?!
