thanksgiving

lamentations 3:21-25
"yet this i call to mind and therefore i have hope:  because of the lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  i say to myself, 'the lord is my portion; therefore i will wait for him.'  the lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him."

we had a very different thanksgiving this year!  originally we were going to go to lubbock to spend the week with my sister and her family.  after everything that happened with kyler, we sent kamdyn there and we ended up at home in time to enjoy the holiday.  we missed kamdyn but we had a nice little thanksgiving with just the 3 of us...in our pajamas!  the verse i posted at the top has meant so much to us in the past week.  one of my friends sent it to me when we were in the hospital and i could not get it out of my head the entire time we were there.  i also had the hymn "great is thy faithfulness" in my head the whole time.  it was so neat to see how God was working in our lives while we were there with kyler.  this is the verse that we have been clinging to this week and this thanksgiving.  it is a good one to have memorized, especially when you find yourself in a situation without your bible!

just when we were talking about how much we were missing kamdyn (it had been 4 days since we had seen her!) my sister sent us these pics...i think she was having a great time!  these pics just warmed our hearts!  we are so thankful for both of our girls!!!

Haley, your post left me teary-eyed. Thank goodness little Kyler is ok and I know your reunion with Kamdyn is going to be a sweet one!
