lubbock

kamdyn and i got to come to lubbock this week to help lindsey out with nathan. she is feeling a lot better and able to be on "light duty" instead of full bed rest. still, it is not easy to be anything but full duty with a 22 month old! we are having a great time and nathan and kamdyn are having fun playing together.

this past week

here are some cute pics from last week. always cute in her piggies, loving aunt lara, especially when she babysits, and really figuring out the sippy cup!

6 months old

our little angel is growing up so fast. we do not understand how these last six months have flown by so quickly. she is weighing in at just over 15 pounds (25 - 50%) and is 26 inches tall (75%)! she is getting so strong - sitting up with a little support. we don't think it will be long until she's sitting up completely on her own. she is also such a good little eater...she has had rice cereal, avacado, banana and sweet potatoes. she looooooves bananas. that is definitely her favorite so far. we have also been giving her a sippy cup w/ water to start getting her used to both of those. surely she will figure it out eventually! she does drink a little water out of it if we hold it for her. so we'll see. we love hearing her giggle and listening to all her noises and sounds. she is such a good, easy, smiley, funny, cute, cuddly, perfect little baby!

the littlest piggies

b-a-n-a-n-a-s

this girl is bananas, b-a-n-a-n-a-s! did you say that to the tune of gwen stefani?! that is all i have had in my head for the past week b/c we have been feeding kamdyn a mashed up banana. it's even funnier if you saw the re-run of THE OFFICE last week when kelly chants, "this day is bananas, b-a-n-a-n-a-s!" i digress. anyway - our beautiful girl is eating so well! and let me tell you - she loooooves those bananas...she can't eat it fast enough! it's pretty cute.

she was in such a good mood the other day when i took these pics. i usually set her up on the counter in her bumbo while i get her bottle ready. this was right when i got her up from a good nap - she was so happy!

avacado

in addition to kamdyn's new morning ritual of rice cereal we have now introduced her to an afternoon snack with her first real food. avacado. mmmmm. i can't explain how funny it was the first two days - the faces she made were priceless and i am so bummed that i was by myself b/c we did not catch the best faces. she was pretty unsure about it at first and even gagged a couple of times, which was hilarious. but today and yesterday she took it like a champ! c'mon, who doesn't like a mashed up avacado?

if you can avert your eyes from the crazy hair for a quick second, you will notice that she is much cleaner in this picture, taken on the third day of the avacado adventure.

lake fork

we got to go to the greeson's lake house this weekend at lake fork and we had a fabulous time! it is always great to catch up with everyone, hang out, play games, ski, fish and just relax. as you can see, kamdyn had plenty of people loving on her this weekend!
